Why Police Reports Are a Big Deal with Jason Hiveley

Course Description:
Why Police Reports Are a Big Deal will focus on why having the ability to craft a well-written report is crucial.

While most of us consider paperwork a chore, completing this task is especially vital for peace officers. In that line of work, well-written reports can be the key to a criminal conviction, a powerful defense in a civil case, and a very public example of an officer’s professionalism.

During this hands-on workshop, officers will:

  • Learn practical tips and simple strategies for writing quality police reports
  • Discover what critical information needs to be in all reports
  • Understand why poorly written reports can often do more harm than good
  • Apply these new skills through report writing exercises

Investing the time to take this course now will potentially prevent problems later!
