Safety Training Courses: Special Pricing for LMCIT Members

Take advantage of safety training courses that will support your safety program and help you comply with regulations. Special member pricing on these courses is a benefit of your membership in the Minnesota Safety Council. LMCIT has paid for Minnesota Safety Council membership for all of its member cities and affiliates.

Here are a few upcoming courses:

  • 10-Hour OSHA General Industry Safety and Health Training. This one-and-a-half day training covers specific OSHA standards, including material handling, machine guarding, exit routes, fire protection, electrical, hazard communication, and other OSHA compliance regulations. Dates: March 25-26 and May 23-24.
  • First Aid/CPR/AED Employee Training, Hands-on. Learn the skills to maintain the life of a victim until emergency medical personnel arrive during this practical and proven hands-on training. Dates: March 21, April 18, May 23, and June 13.
  • Globally Harmonized System is Here. Learn what you need to know about this new system of classification and labeling of chemicals during this Minnesota-specific training. Dates: March 1 and April 5.
  • Recordkeeping: Beyond the Basics. Learn about proposed rule changes, and review the requirements and mechanics of recordkeeping. You will also solve sample problems designed to help you learn recordkeeping principles. Date: April 23.
