The League is here to advocate on behalf of cities, but it is important for cities to also get involved. There are a variety of ways to do this, from applying for appointments to calling your state legislator to visiting the Capitol to participating in committees. Contact your state legislators on a regular basis and visit them at the Capitol at least once a year.
Contact intergovernmental relations (IGR) staff if you have questions about legislative issues or getting involved with city advocacy efforts.
Tell Your City Story: An advocacy guide for Minnesota cities provides tools to help cities of any size become more effective in telling their city story.
A couple of great ways to get involved with the League are to join one of our policy committees or task forces!
